No other figure in American folk music has been more of a catalyst and inspiration than our very own friend & neighbor Pete Seeger. Tonight's musicians have all been personally effected by Pete's life, and the music & message that he continues to share at 90 years of age – a true American treasure.
Drawing from the wealth of musical talent in and around the Hudson Valley, this evening will feature individual performances as well as collaborations by a group of some of the Hudson Valley's finest musicians and singer-songwriters. Their intent, in the tradition of Pete Seeger's message, is to expand the boundaries of this great custom of singing songs together, fueling the spirit. Featured musicians will be: Walker Rumph (16 years old), Hailey Knox (10 years old), David Bernz, James Durst (Work of the Weavers), and Hope Machine.
